For the residents. The Southwest Clay Community Association was formed in 2005 as a non profit corporation under US Internal Revenue Service Code Section 501(c)(4). At a macro level, SWCCA has three primary objectives for the unincorporated portions of Clay Township in Hamilton County, Indiana:
| |
a.
To provide information and assistance to the residents in preserving and improving the quality of life, promoting cultural, educational, and civic opportunities and developing the opportunities for growth in such geographic area, and related purposes;
| |
b. |
To provide direction, leadership and support of activities designed to enhance the quality of life, promote cultural, educational and civic awareness and opportunities, and develop opportunities for growth for the residents by establishing policies, priorities, and strategic focus and promoting coordination and cooperation to achieve such goals within the area;
| |
c. |
To create an environment for recognition and development of the quality of life and the cultural, educational and civic opportunities important to the enhancement of growth for the residents. |
| |
Vision and Accomplishment. While sound objectives are important to establish direction, they contribute very little to making progress. The Southwest Clay Community Association is a team of dynamic neighborhood leaders who are deeply concerned for the current and future direction of the area. To accomplish objectives in a tangible way, the actives of SWCCA include:
| |
a. |
Identify current and future community issues, needs and goals and establishing strategic planning to address such issues, needs and goals in order to preserve, protect, promote, and develop Southwest Clay.
| |
b. |
Create a forum for the identification, discussion and resolution of significant current and future issues, needs and goals affecting Southwest Clay.
| |
c. |
Establish links with appropriate governmental and quasi-governmental agencies and community organizations to develop strategies and policies to enhance the quality of life and to protect, promote and enhance the cultural, educational, and civic amenities and opportunities which exist in the geographic area. |
